Synopsis

Evil's in the house.

When Butch, Postmaster P, and Stray Bullet loot the local hip-hop mogul's studio to fund their demo album, the threesome unwittingly ends up with the secret of Mack Daddy's success: a magical flute. Their gigs instantly turn golden but a blood-thristy Leprechaun and an angry Mack Daddy are hot on their trail, leaving a wake of destruction tainted by politically incorrect limericks.

Would give 5 stars but we never see the Leprechaun’s penis. Very disappointed.

If you must watch this film, I pity your plight.
It's an arduous bore; a complete load of shite.

“A friend with weed is a friend indeed, but a friend with gold is the best I'm told.”

Making all the leads transphobic was a terrible choice😑 that made this the least fun one to watch. But Lubdan has started rhyming again🎶 & he smokes a joint with Ice-T🌿💨so I enjoyed rooting for him to get his magic flute back🪈✨ & kill those fuckers. Also, he raps.😎

"A friend with weed, is a friend indeed. But a friend with gold, is worth more I'm told." -Leprechaun,

This film implies that Leprechauns were the first hip hop artists.

Over the years this has declined for me a bit as some of the jokes and scenes are aging poorly. That considered I still find Leprechaun in the Hood to be a consistently amusing blaxploitation horror with a great performance by Warwick Davis. The rhymes and puns still make me laugh even though many of them are so mean-spirited and I love a movie that includes a Coolio cameo.

Watch it for Postmaster P and his rap based in positivity.

You would think that by now the series would have totally flown off the rails, but it was never really on the track to begin with so it kinda makes sense to put Lep “in the hood”. It’s certainly no weirder than sending him to space, right? I was sure I had seen this one before, but I had not and while it’s my least favorite entry so far, it’s still entertaining with a few excellent moments.

Lep is back to rhyming everything he says and I say that’s a good thing because I love the way he cracks himself up after he throws out a phrase. I didn’t think the lead actor was very interesting and aside from his…

This seems problematic until you realize that Warwick Davis is from Little Compton in Dublin.

I have a sports podcast called Fields of Glory.

  • Review by Joe Lynch ½ 5

    …it’s not.
Dear god this is like drinking a week old Irish car bomb.
Poor Ice-T I hope he paid his bills that month.

  • Review by Jesse ★★★ 3

I don’t know whose idea it was to send Leprechaun to Da Hood but it was a genius move. Yeah I know what your thinking and at this point, five films in, they just need to be entertaining in a unique and fresh way. You get that in spades with this film.

First and foremost Warwick Davis fully commits and you BETTER BELIEVE there is a leprechaun rap at the end of the film. Ice-T enters every scene at an 11 and I could not stop laughing at how angry he was the whole time. We’ve reached peak cinema when him and the leprechaun share a joint in a bathroom.

This is bad movie gold and honestly it’s the second best film of this franchise thus far.

  • Review by Ian West ★★½ 4

Has the closest release date to St. Patrick's Day, released to DVD on March 28, 2000. Time flies but luckily we’ll be back 2 tha hood soon as I’m closing in on the home stretch of this Lepre-thon

    The more you know.

  • Review by Poodini 3

So you are trying to tell me that the Leprechaun’s magical dog whistle helped single handedly sculpt the gangster rap scene…..🍀🎤 makes sense.

  • Review by Jackie Stewart ★★★★ 2

This is the weirdest trajectory of any series of any genre, easily. And they’re all fun. I mean...This has a plot where the leads dress in drag to try and get Lep to smoke a joint laced with four-leaf clovers. This is fucking insanity.

  • Review by HorrorSage ★★★★ 5

Good evening and welcome fellow Children of Chaos.

Not quite on the level as 3, but still quite good. There is always something about these 'Hood movies that feel a bit racist to me. I could be WAYYYYY off.

Anyway Warrick Davis' rhymes coming back were a welcome retrun, as they were lackluster in Space.

So this one involves the plot of a magic wish giving flute that some up and coming rappers steal from some pimp master or whatever and he wants to get it back. Lep kind of plays into the side plot honestly, but when he is there, he is fucking shit up like a horror villain should.

I don't know. Sorry these reviews are are kind…
